OUR STORY SO FAR…

Exidor Ltd is a UK based engineering company manufacturing a comprehensive, high specification range of Panic and Emergency Exit Hardware, Door Controls and Builders Ironmongery.

Based in Cannock in the heart of England, we’ve been manufacturing for more than 80 years. We offer a breadth and depth of range of panic and emergency exit hardware that few others can match.

Manufacturing for more than 80 years

Single point latching to four point security locking systems. Units for any door, from timber to steel to UPVC and aluminium. Plain to aesthetic, simple to complex, there’s a wide range of options to meet every application. And if you’ve got a particular need, we design and manufacture bespoke units to order.

You want just one? No problem.

You want your own special colour?

We can do it.

Unlike others, we love the challenge of designing to order, and giving you exactly what you need. Say what exit device you’re looking for and we can design it. Colours, mix of finishes, keep options, bolt system, alarm unit, micro-switches – even your own label.

Since the acquisition of Jebron Ltd. in 2011, we have also been able to offer a range of high specification door controls from a power size 2/3 selectable, to the 2-5 adjustable with backcheck and delayed action options. Hold open arms are an optional accessory and a choice of high efficiency slide arm closers are also available.

A comprehensive selection of E-mags completes the overhead door closer series.

Exidor also offers a choice of floor springs, from the adjustable power size 1-4, through to the heavy duty power size 1-6 range, which can be used on doors up to 600KG. Transom closers and the newly introduced concealed and slimline ranges complete Exidor’s comprehensive offering.

The Exidor overhead door closer range features the unique high efficiency cam and roller action.

The floor springs and transom closers use a double cam mechanism that not only gives class leading carrying capacity and efficiency, but provides excellent centring at the zero position in the double action version. This is achieved by using an additional cam, which is not subject to the same wear as the main cam, to provide an accurate return to the zero position, regardless of the number of cycles in either direction which the closer has performed.

As a proud UK manufacturer, we are a member of the ‘Made in Britain’ campaign, which promotes and celebrates true UK manufacturing. We manufacture to a system which is approved to ISO9001. Exidor panic and emergency exit devices carry the CE mark and have been mechanically tested to EN179 and EN1125 and our door controls to EN1154 and EN1155. The Exidor range has also been fire-rated for use on timber and steel doors, and approved to Certifire. Products in the Exidor 700 Series have been used in the Burglary Resistance Test LPS1175.
